A high-fibre feed for horses that have low energy requirements such as ponies, heavier breeds and convalescents.
Lite is excellent for horses that are sensitive to fast carbohydrates, have EMS or a tendency to develop laminitis.
The feed has a low energy level but a slightly higher percentage of digestible protein in order to suit late-harvested roughage. The starch level is limited and there is no molasses at all in order to reduce insulin spikes.
Feed with hay and/or haylage and water.
A guideline value is 0.3 kg feed per 100 kg of weight of horse per day.
